Expanded cork panels are manufactured by the Portuguese company Amorim. They represent a natural, sustainable, and in many ways superior alternative to polystyrene or mineral wool. These panels are used in the following applications:
- Thermal and acoustic insulation of horizontal and vertical partitions, both inside and outside buildings
- Thermal and acoustic insulation of terraces, flat and pitched roofs
- Filling of expansion joints and gaps
- Thermal insulation of cold rooms and refrigeration chambers
- Thermal insulation of pipelines
- Vibration insulation for the foundations of machinery and equipment
- Base material for bonding with other materials such as aluminum, metal, plywood, etc.
- Material for decorating terrariums and vivariums (animal enclosures)
General product features:
- 100% natural and eco-friendly material
- Virtually unlimited lifespan
- Technical parameters remain stable over time
- Excellent dimensional stability over many years
- Does not emit toxic gases in case of fire
- Resistant to many chemicals, insects, and rodents
- 100% recyclable
